arriva in Italia!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nuovo EP \u201cSexy beast\u201d<\/strong><\/em> per la leggenda del Rock Glen Matlock<\/a> (The Sex Pistols)<\/strong> accompagnato per l\u2019occasione da nomi illustri come Slim Jim Phantom, Earl Slick <\/strong>e Jim Lowe<\/strong> uscir\u00e0 in Italia il 10.03.2017 per IndieBox Music e Self Distribuzione.
\n\u201cSexy beast\u201d<\/em> e’ una vera sorpresa per l’attivita’ discografica di Glen Matlock che, l’ultima volta, nel 2010, si era presentato con un ottimo disco \u201cBorn Running\u201d<\/em><\/strong> accompagnato dai Philistines<\/strong>.
\nIl sound in questo EP e\u2019 molto diverso dal precedente e denota un cambio di direzione, sicuramente maturato dalle 1000 esperienze artistiche, dalle influenze trasmesse dalla super band che lo accompagna e dagli anni passati in Tour.
\nSuonato in modo a dir poco perfetto questo EP dimostra di possedere un\u2019attitudine ed un approccio al Rock d\u2019altri tempi.
\n\u201cSexy Beast\u201d<\/em> non e\u2019 solo rock, vira verso il Rockabilly, c\u2019e\u2019 del R\u2019n\u2019R ma si va decisamente oltre, trascendendo generi e definizioni.
\nUn singolo originale \u201cSexy beast\u201d per l’appunto, e tre cover eccezionali riarrangiate in chiave Matlock per dare via ad una serie di uscite future dell\u2019inarrestabile Glen!<\/strong><\/p>\n

BIOGRAFIA:<\/p>\n

Glen Matlock<\/strong>, che aveva studiato alla scuola d’arte, si un\u00ec a Steve Jones<\/strong> e Paul Cook<\/strong> gi\u00e0 nel 1972<\/strong>, quando il gruppo si chiamava ancora The Strand. Rimase nella band fino al 1977, pochi mesi prima della pubblicazione di Never Mind the Bollocks<\/strong>, Here’s the Sex Pistols<\/strong>, e torn\u00f2 in studio con la band per registrarne le tracce, sebbene Sid Vicious lo avesse gi\u00e0 sostituito al basso. Subito dopo aver lasciato la band forma il gruppo new wave The Rich Kids<\/strong>, in compagnia del chitarrista Steve New<\/strong> e del cantante Midge Ure<\/strong>, che successivamente diventer\u00e0 un membro degli Ultravox<\/strong>. Tuttavia il gruppo si rivela solo una breve parentesi della sua carriera, sciogliendosi nel 1978 dopo aver pubblicato un unico album di studio. Nel 1979 suon\u00f2 insieme a Sid Vicious<\/strong> e a Iggy Pop<\/strong>, comparendo anche nell’album Soldier<\/strong>. Negli anni seguenti collabora con Johnny Thunders<\/strong> e forma vari gruppi, tra cui si segnalano The Spectres<\/strong> e The London Cowboys<\/strong>.
\nNel 1990 pubblica la sua autobiografia I Was a Teenage Sex Pistol<\/strong> e forma i The Role Models<\/strong> con ex membri dei Public Image Ltd<\/strong>. Dopo aver pubblicato altri due album, uno con i The Philistines<\/strong> e il secondo, Who’s He Think He Is When He’s At Home?, da solista, torna nella formazione riunita dei Sex Pistols per i tour del 1996 e del 2002<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
