CUT<\/strong><\/span><\/a> ed \u00e8 il disco con cui la storica formazione bolognese festeggia pi\u00f9 di venti anni di un percorso musicale che li ha visti attraversare \u201cere\u201d diverse del suono alternativo e indipendente, sempre \u201con the wrong side of the road\u201d.<\/p>\nPer questo motivo, nella fase di realizzazione dell\u2019album, i CUT<\/strong> hanno voluto coinvolgere alcuni dei loro pi\u00f9 stretti collaboratori e amici, molti dei quali hanno preso parte alla fase di costruzione dei brani, fornendo un contributo essenziale alla variet\u00e0 di atmosfere e suggestioni che caratterizzano \u201cSecond Skin\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\u201cSecond Skin\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nIl titolo ha un doppio valore evocativo: pu\u00f2 essere letto come una metafora del vissuto della band, oramai divenuta una seconda pelle per i propri membri, oppure attraverso le tematiche affrontate nei testi quali l\u2019ossessivit\u00e0 e la dipendenza affettiva che rendono difficoltoso l’affrancarsi da stati d\u2019animo legati a rapporti interpersonali passati. Un’ossessione che ti avvolge come una \u201cseconda pelle\u201d, una prigione, spesso invisibile agli altri, dalla quale non ci si riesce a liberare.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecond Skin\u201d vede la partecipazione di numerosi ospiti tra cui: Mike Watt<\/strong> (Minutemen, fIREHOSE, Iggy & The Stooges, Il Sogno Del Marinaio…), Stefano Pilia<\/strong> (Rokia Traor\u00e9 band, Afterhours, Massimo Volume, InZaire, Il Sogno Del Marinaio, Cagna Schiumante…), Sergio Carlini<\/strong> (Three Second Kiss, Serra\/Carlini, Jowjo),\u00a0Andrea Rovacchi<\/strong> (Julie\u2019s Haircut), Francesco Salomone<\/strong> (Forty Winks, Qlowski), Francesco Bucci, Paolo Raineri<\/strong> (Ottone Pesante, Junkfood)<\/p>\nPer l\u2019artwork \u00e8 stato scelto \u201cNel Buio\u201d<\/em>, un quadro dell’artista modenese Simone Fazio.\u00a0<\/strong>Un particolare di quest\u2019opera era gi\u00e0 stato utilizzato per la release online del brano \u201cTake It Back to the Start\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\u201cSecond Skin\u201d<\/strong><\/em> \u00e8 frutto di una co-produzione Area Pirata, Dischi Bervisti, Antipop<\/strong> (etichetta di Liverpool gi\u00e0 distributrice dei dischi dei CUT in UK) e Bare Bones Productions<\/strong>.
\nLa produzione artistica \u00e8 stata affidata a Bruno Germano gi\u00e0 collaboratore storico della band oltre ad aver militato nei Settlefish ed avere prodotto tra gli altri, Fuzz Orchestra e Iosonouncane. Germano \u00e8 presente nel disco anche in veste di musicista e coautore della title track. In numerosi brani figura anche Francesco Bolognini il primo batterista della band ad ulteriore testimonianza della volont\u00e0 dei CUT di raccogliere intorno a \u201cSecond Skin\u201d gli amici ed i collaboratori di una vita.<\/p>\nCUT<\/strong>
