The Wanton Bishops <\/strong><\/a>in Italia il prossimo 22 aprile presso Clan Destino Club <\/strong>a Faenza (RA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wanton Bishops<\/strong><\/a> \u00e8 il progetto dell\u2019eclettico musicista Nader Mansour<\/em>, a cui collaborano i compagni Eddy Ghossein<\/em> e Salim Naffah<\/em>, rispettivamente al basso e alla batteria. Nader \u00e8 nato e cresciuto a Beirut, in Libano, eppure la sua musica e il suo stile affondano le radici nel blues pi\u00f9 classico; il sound dei The Wanton Bishops<\/strong><\/a> \u00e8 infatti un mix delle numerose influenze musicali di Nader in cui il blues di Muddy Waters<\/em>, reso dalle ritmiche e dall\u2019utilizzo di strumenti come l\u2019armonica a bocca, viene contaminato dal rock di Led Zeppelin<\/em> e Jimi Hendrix<\/em> e dalla psichedelia dei The Doors<\/em> per poi essere reso davvero unico dalla Tareb di artisti della tradizione musicale araba come Sabah Fakhri, Mohammad Kheiri, Oum Kolsoum e Asmahan.<\/p>\n

L\u2019incredibile peculiarit\u00e0 musicale di questo progetto ha portato Nader e compagni molto lontano; l\u2019album di debutto \u201cSleep With Lights On<\/em>\u201d \u00e8 stato descritto da MTV <\/strong>come \u201csospeso tra gioia e disillusione, un suono viscerale, eco dell\u2019anima della loro citt\u00e0 decadente\u201d <\/em>mentre Rolling Stone <\/strong>definisce la band \u201cblues grezzo e indie-rock con reminiscenze alla The Black Keys, con una sensibilit\u00e0 propria\u201d. Nel 2015 Nader espande gli orizzonti musicali ed espressivi del progetto arruolando nel gruppo il batterista Pascal Semerdjian<\/em>, il bassista Antonio El Hajj Moussa<\/em> e il chitarrista Salim Naffah<\/em>.
\nNegli anni, dal 2012 ad oggi, la band si \u00e8 esibita in vari festival e club in tutto il mondo, supportando grandi nomi tra cui The Who, Guns N\u2019 Roses <\/strong>e Lana Del Rey<\/strong>.
\nAl momento Nader e soci si stanno preparando per il tour che far\u00e0 conoscere al pubblico l\u2019ultimo EP \u201cNowhere Everywhere\u201d.<\/p>\n

Parlando di questo nuovo material, Nader afferma:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re finally getting to the core of the music we want to create a scarily confused but oh so enticing musical concoction that is much like our own identity as Lebanese people living in Beirut, the cultural crossroad of the world<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
