RADAR Concerti <\/strong><\/a>annuncia tre esclusive date italiane per Forest Swords<\/strong><\/a>, alter ego di Matthew Barnes<\/strong>. Il producer inglese sar\u00e0 di scena il 6\/10 al Locomotiv di Bologna, il 7\/10 al FAB di Prato e l’8\/10 al Lanificio 25 di Napoli <\/strong>per presentare il nuovo album, Compassion<\/em>, <\/strong>in uscita il 5 maggio 2017 per l’etichetta londinese Ninja Tune<\/strong><\/a> e anticipato dal singolo \u201cThe Highest Flood\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dopo il successo del primo EP Dagger Paths <\/em>(Olde English Spelling Bee\/No Pain in Pop, 2010) eletto album dell’anno da FACT Magazine e di Engravings<\/em> (Tri Angle Records, 2013), votato best new music<\/em> da Pitchfork<\/strong>, Forest Swords<\/strong><\/a> torna alla ribalta con il nuovo lavoro: Compassion<\/em>, un viaggio sonoro al limite tra esaltazione e angoscia, trance ed estasi.<\/em> Il singolo \u201cThe Highest Flood<\/em>\u201d lascia gi\u00e0 intravedere la complessit\u00e0 compositiva e comunicativa del disco: beat cupi si alternano a melodie stratificate e voci eteree, in un mix tra digitale e analogico che lo affianca ad artisti quali Burial<\/em> e Four Tet<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Noto per aver prodotto la colonna sonora del videogioco Assassin’s Creed: Rogue<\/em> <\/strong>(Ubisoft, 2014), nel 2015 Barnes realizza la soundtrack del corto La F<\/em>\u00ea<\/em>te (est Finie) <\/em>in collaborazione con Robert \u201c3D\u201d del Naja dei Massive Attack. Alla sua attivit\u00e0 come musicista, Barnes affianca quella di graphic designer: \u00e8 lui stesso a realizzare il design e il packaging dei suoi dischi. Contraddistinto da uno stile unico che si plasma sulla realt\u00e0 circostante disintegrandola, riassemblandola e dandole nuova linfa, Forest Swords<\/strong><\/a> dar\u00e0 prova della sua potenza comunicativa nelle tre date italiane a Bologna, Prato e Napoli.<\/p>\n
