Frederick \u201cToots\u201d Hibbert<\/strong> \u00e8 una vera e propria leggenda vivente della musica jamaicana, il primo ad utilizzare la parola REGGAE in una canzone, citata in “Do the Reggay” del 1968.
\nAttivi dai primi anni \u201860 con il nome The Maytals, successivamente cambiato in Toots and the Maytals<\/strong><\/a> per sottolineare la forte personalit\u00e0 del frontman, sono considerati tra gli artisti pi\u00f9 influenti della musica in levare ma non solo, la loro fama a livello mondiale \u00e8 spesso uscita dai suoi confini originali.
\nI Clash<\/strong> e gli Specials<\/strong> hanno fatto una cover dei loro pezzi, gli Who<\/strong> li hanno voluti per aprire un loro tour americano, sua maest\u00e0 Bob Marley<\/strong> li ha citati nella canzone \u201cPunky Reggae Party\u201d.
\nNel 2017 hanno gi\u00e0 calcato il palco di Coachella<\/strong> e in estate si esibiranno a Glastonbury<\/strong> e al Rototom Sunsplash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
