\nThe Less I Know The Better<\/strong><\/em> \u00e8 il primo lavoro full-length della band milanese The Ghibertins<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, formata da Alessio Hofmann<\/strong> (lead voice, acoustic guitar), Alessandro Fogazzi<\/strong> (bass guitar) e Lorenzo Rivabella<\/strong> (electric guitar, acoustic guitar), uscito il 16 giugno e registrato al MOB Sound Studio.<\/p>\n

E’ un lavoro dal sapore internazionale, attraverso il quale i ragazzi riescono a fare incontrare il gusto folk, che si conferma comunque come la componente principale, insieme a suoni pi\u00f9 moderni e ricercati, grazie anche all’aiuto di synth e tastiere.<\/p>\n

Il disco si apre con Madnes<\/strong><\/em>s, che ci introduce immediatamente nel mood dell’album, con un groove incalzante ed un ritornello molto orecchiabile. Se Carnival<\/strong> <\/em>strizza l’occhio al primo Paolo Nutini, in Breathe For Me<\/strong><\/em> diventa chiara l’influenza che i Mumford & Sons hanno avuto sui The Ghibertins<\/strong> (qua<\/a> potete trovare la loro cover acustica di \u201cBelieve\u201d).<\/p>\n

Proseguendo nell’ascolto si alternano pezzi pi\u00f9 classici malinconici e come Let’em Dance<\/strong><\/em> a The Less I Know The Better<\/em><\/strong> in cui i suoni nuovi e sperimentali, insieme al ritmo deciso, accompagnano un testo che si discosta dalle tematiche amorose per farsi pi\u00f9 impegnato e provocatorio (\u201cWe are a generation of crisis, born under the threat of Isis\u201d<\/em>).<\/p>\n

In My Hands (A Pop Song<\/em><\/strong>) e Facing a Loaded Gun<\/strong> <\/em>sono senza dubbio i pezzi pi\u00f9 ballabili nel senso moderno del termine, ma \u00e8 con No Way<\/strong><\/em>, un pezzo folk in prima regola, che veniamo catapultati a ballare nella campagna Americana.<\/p>\n

Il disco si chiude con There’s No Doubt About It<\/em><\/strong>, dove la base strumentale molto delicata accompagna una voce che ritorna ai toni malinconici di inizio disco.<\/p>\n

Nel complesso possiamo affermare che The Less I Know The Better<\/em><\/strong> \u00e8 un lavoro interessante, curato nei suoni e frutto di un approfondito studio, che riesce ad inserire i The Ghibertins<\/strong> in un panorama musicale pi\u00f9 ampio, mixando in modo intelligente i riferimenti ad altri artisti con idee e suoni pi\u00f9 originali, regalandoci una rilettura del folk in chiave moderna.<\/p>\n

Se volete piangere sul vostro amore perduto, ma anche divertirvi e ballare per scacciare i brutti ricordi, \u201cThe Less I Know The Better\u201d \u00e8 qui per voi!<\/p>\n
