Uscito il 6 ottobre per Bekassine Records, Rockers Die Younger e Broken Toys,<\/em> “Drifters”<\/em> \u00e8 la terza fatica discografica di SHE OWL<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0duo composto da Jolanda Moletta<\/strong> e Demian Endian.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nonostante la breve durata, questo ep riesce a mettere in mostra tutte le qualit\u00e0 compositive della band, che, pur mantenendo un suono omogeneo, riesce a tingere ogni brano con la propria sfumatura.<\/p>\n

Partendo dalla psichedelia, in ogni traccia, da She Cries A River <\/em>fino alla pi\u00f9 scura Glass,<\/em> risulta chiaro come il coinvolgimento dell\u2019ascoltatore non si trovi in ritornelli intuitivi, ma piuttosto in mantra pi\u00f9 oscuri, che si fanno strada lentamente fra i pensieri di chi ascolta.<\/p>\n

Ogni pezzo difatti si sviluppa in maniera circolare con gli strumenti pi\u00f9 a servizio della ritmica che della melodia, come in War Within<\/em>, in cui la voce bellissima e calda della cantante ricorda un po\u2019 quello dei Daughter <\/strong>o dei London Grammar. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Questa specie di circolarit\u00e0 nelle canzoni porta ad estraniarsi, a fluttuare dondolando sulle note di She Owl<\/em>, soprattutto nella traccia di chiusura, Glass<\/em>, la pi\u00f9 minimalista del disco.<\/p>\n

Nonostante i suoi venti minuti scarsi di durata,\u00a0 Drifters<\/strong> \u00e8 un ep ben composto, estremamente evocativo che punta dritto a stimolare la creativit\u00e0 di chi ascolta, trasportando la mente distante dalla realt\u00e0 quotidiana. Non ci resta che vivere l’intensit\u00e0 della musica di SHE OWL, andando ad ascoltarli a dicembre, quando il loro tour arriver\u00e0 in Italia.
