Trent\u2019anni dopo il vocalist Mark Arm, il chitarrista Steve Turner, il bassista Guy Maddison, ed il batterista Dan Peters escono con un disco dalle tinte forti; una immacolata sintesi di tutta la loro energia Rock&amp;Roll.<em>Digital Garbage<\/em>\u00a0\u00e8 un insistente movimento di ritmi mischiati ai testi sarcastici di Arm:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Il mio senso dello humor \u00e8 molto oscuro, e questi sono tempi oscuri; penso che la situazione stia diventando sempre pi\u00f9 cupa\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Digital Garbage<\/em>\u00a0si apre con &#8220;Nerve Attack,&#8221; che richiama l\u2019attenzione sull\u2019ansia da vita moderna e sulla costante minaccia di una guerra di massa. L\u2019album prende il titolo dalla outro di &#8220;Kill Yourself Live&#8221; che fa riflettere sull\u2019utilizzo dei social media:\u00a0<em>\u201cla gente sembra ricevere conferme dai like che riceve su facebook \u2013 ma poi ci sono spazi tipo Facebook Live, dove la gente posta torture e assassinii, o come nel caso di Philando Castile, l\u2019omicidio da parte di un poliziotto.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Please Mr. Gunman,&#8221; nella quale Arm urla un &#8220;We&#8217;d rather die in church!&#8221; \u00e8 invece ispirata alla sparatoria del 2017 avvenuta in una chiesa, mentre &#8220;Next Mass Extinction&#8221; richiama i fatti di Charlottesville.
