Il ritorno in Italia degli\u00a0Skindred<\/strong><\/a>, una delle band pi\u00f9 amate del panorama metal alternativo (o come lo definiscono loro, “ragga metal”), coincide con il tour europeo per promuovere il nuovo disco\u00a0Big Tings<\/strong><\/em>, uscito su Napalm Records il 27 aprile. L’appuntamento \u00e8 per\u00a0un’unica data<\/strong>\u00a0luned\u00ec\u00a018 febbraio 2019<\/strong>\u00a0al\u00a0Legend Club<\/strong>\u00a0di\u00a0Milano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dal 1998, anno in cui gli Skindred nascono dalle ceneri del precedente progetto\u00a0Dub War<\/strong>, fino a oggi, la band ha invaso i palchi di tutto il mondo con la propria unica commistione di\u00a0influenze metal, reggae e punk<\/strong>\u00a0che l’ha resa celebre. Il successo \u00e8 pressoch\u00e9 immediato: l’album d’esordio\u00a0Babylon<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(2002) contiene delle hit da classifiche d’Oltreoceano come\u00a0Nobody<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0Pressure<\/strong>, e nonostante i ben cinque anni di attesa che precedono l’uscita dell’album successivo,\u00a0Roots Rock Riot<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2007) e\u00a0Shark Bites and Dog Fights<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(2009) permettono alla band di proseguire sulla scia del successo, tanto che nel 2011 gli Skindred vengono premiati per le loro performance dalle prestigiose riviste\u00a0Kerrang!<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0Metal Hammer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oltre a condividere il palco con le band pi\u00f9 in vista del genere, fra cui Hollywood Undead, Disturbed, Chiodos e persino Rob Zombie, gli Skindred continuano un’intensa attivit\u00e0 in studio. Il gruppo pubblica\u00a0Union Black<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0nel 2011,\u00a0Kill the Power<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0nel 2014 e\u00a0Volume<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>nel 2015, fino ad arrivare al recente\u00a0Big Tings<\/strong><\/em>, uscito lo scorso aprile. A proposito di quest’album, l’eccentrico frontman\u00a0Benji Webbe<\/strong>\u00a0dichiara:<\/p>\n

“La cosa pi\u00f9 divertente degli Skindred \u00e8 che ora abbiamo un album per ogni giorno della settimana. La gente di solito la domenica si riposa, ma se metti s\u00f9 questo disco\u00a0\u00e8 come partire per un viaggio<\/strong>. E non \u00e8 sempre il viaggio che ti aspetti: in alcuni punti ti far\u00e0 piangere il cuore, e in altri ti far\u00e0 venir voglia di metterti l’abito da festa e uscire per fare grandi cose!”<\/em><\/p>\n
