Dopo la loro ultima apparizione in Italia nel 2017, i\u00a0Me First and The Gimme Gimmes<\/strong>\u00a0si preparano a fare il proprio grande ritorno sui nostri palchi. Il supergruppo sar\u00e0 infatti al\u00a0Rock Planet<\/strong>\u00a0di\u00a0Pinarella di Cervia<\/strong>\u00a0(RA) marted\u00ec\u00a025 giugno 2019<\/strong>\u00a0per una data che si preannuncia bollente.<\/p>\n

Definirli semplicemente una delle cover band pi\u00f9 famose al mondo \u00e8 riduttivo. I\u00a0Me First and The Gimme Gimmes<\/strong>\u00a0nei pi\u00f9 di vent’anni di carriera che hanno alle spalle hanno dimostrato di potersiconfrontare con qualsiasi genere e stile musicale<\/strong>. La band passa agilmente dalla motown al country, dal pop giapponese alla canzone napoletana, tutto rigorosamente in lingua originale e con unasana di dose di irriverenza<\/strong>\u00a0che contraddistingue i vulcanici membri del progetto.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Da\u00a0Have a Ball<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0del 1997 ad\u00a0Are We Not Men? We Are Diva!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>del 2014, i Gimmes hanno messo insieme sei album di cover, tutti rigorosamente pubblicati da\u00a0Fat Wreck Chords<\/strong>, la celeberrima etichetta di Fat Mike. L’ultima uscita discografica \u00e8 arrivata nel 2017 con\u00a0Rake It In<\/strong><\/em>, una compilation con le migliori cover del gruppo, in pratica una inception di greatest hits. La band per\u00f2 non \u00e8 mai stanca di lavorare a nuovi progetti, e allora a fine 2018 esce anche la cover del motivetto natalizio\u00a0Santa Baby<\/strong>, originariamente portato al successo da Eartha Kitt negli anni ’50.<\/div>\n
