LA BAND DEL WYOMING IN ITALIA PER UN’UNICA DATA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pi\u00f9 di vent’anni passati a difendere la bandiera del punk rock. I\u00a0The Lillingtons<\/strong>, una delle band pi\u00f9 stimate del panorama underground, torneranno presto in Italia.\u00a0Venerd\u00ec 3 maggio<\/strong>\u00a02019 il\u00a0Rock Town\u00a0<\/strong>di\u00a0Cordenons<\/strong>\u00a0(PN) ospiter\u00e0 infatti il ritorno della band americana nel nostro Paese per un’unica data.<\/p>\n

Una storia fatta di alti e bassi quella dei The Lillingtons, che inizia nel lontano 1996 con un album pop punk autoprodotto,\u00a0Shit Out of Luck<\/strong><\/em>, dove Kody Templeman (voce e chitarra), Zack Rawhauser (chitarra), Cory Laurence (basso) e Tim O\u2019Hara aka Timmy V (batteria) sfogano le proprie turbe sentimentali tipicamente adolescenziali.<\/p>\n

Negli anni successivi i The Lillingtons continuano il proprio percorso ispirandosi a gruppi come The Ramones e Screeching Weasel finch\u00e9 pubblicano per Lookout Records\u00a0Death by Television<\/strong><\/em>, definito da Fat Mike dei NOFX\u00a0\u201cthe best pop-punk album of all time\u201d.<\/em>\u00a0La band inizia ad acquisire fan e a farsi un nome nella scena underground e pubblica un terzo album nel 2001,\u00a0The Backchannel Broadcast<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Nonostante alcune rotture e reunion, la band pubblica\u00a0The Too Late Show<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0nel 2006, ma la continuit\u00e0 del progetto iniziato dieci anni prima \u00e8 minata dai numerosi impegni che ogni membro del gruppo porta avanti per conto proprio. Nel 2017, a dieci anni dall\u2019ultima pubblicazione discografica, la band ha finalmente dato alla luce\u00a0Stella Sapiente<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0con Fat Wreck Chords, un disco particolarmente atteso che segna il ritorno alla forma per il quartetto del Wyoming, salutato da una rinnovata schiera di fan pronti a muoversi sotto il palco degli elettrizzanti concerti del gruppo.<\/p>\n
