THE WINSTONS<\/strong>
\nThe Winstons sono tre fratelli: Linnon Winston (quello coi baffi), Rob Winston (quello alto) e Enro Winston (quello coi capelli lunghi). Si presentano dal vivo come la migliore time-machine anni sessanta e settanta ad oggi. Ma attenzione: loro non sono revival, sono un\u2019anima di puro stile rock\u2019n\u2019roll. I loro strumenti sono vecchi, sfasciati, polverosi, e abnegano alla chitarra elettrica, in barba ai rigurgiti grunge anni Novanta. Hanno esordito con un fortunatissimo e acclamato album di matrice canterburiana (The Winstons, AMS record 2016), a cui hanno fatto seguito concerti, happening e sciamanesimo. Da qui un dvd live (Live in Rome, AMS records 2016) che ferma l\u2019immagine del primo glorioso tour sold out. Robert Wyatt di recente lo ha ascoltato con somma gioia nel suo stereo. Poi un quarantacinque giri in omaggio al post punk inglese con la cover di Golden Brown degli Stranglers (AMS 2017). Ed infine un’uscita \u201ccolta\u201d con la riproposizione di Pictures at an Exhibition di Modest Mussorgskij (AMS records\/19\u201940\u2019\u2019 2018). Ora il power trio, armato di forza e promulgatore di anarchia ancestrale, ha dato alle stampe un nuovo disco dal titolo \u201cSmith\u201d. Ospiti d\u2019eccezione i grandi amici Nic Cester dei Jet, Mick Harvey dei Bad Seeds e a fianco di PJ Harvey, Richard Sinclair dei Caravan, Rodrigo D\u2019Erasmo e Federico Pierantoni. Si sente il glam nelle ossa, si vedono i muri di cemento delle dittature culturali, si sente una sferzata di vento gelido rock\u2019n\u2019roll. \u201cSmith\u201d, il secondo album di canzoni originali dei The Winstons \u00e8 uscito a maggio 2019. Fate largo…<\/p>\n
