Tra le icone della musica contemporanea,\u00a0Suzanne Vega<\/strong>\u00a0annuncia la pubblicazione di \u2018An Evening of\u00a0 New York Songs and Stories<\/strong>\u2019, il nuovo album in arrivo l\u20191 maggio (Cooking Vinyl) ed una serie di primi appuntamenti live in UK ed in Europa. La prima anticipazione tratta dal nuovo album \u00e8 la sua personale rivisitazione del celebre brano di Lou Reed\u00a0\u2018Walk on the Wild Side\u2019<\/strong>, disponibile da oggi su tutte le piattaforme digitali.<\/p>\n

Registrato al famoso Caf\u00e8 Carlyle a New York agli inizi del 2019, \u2018An Evening of New York Songs and Stories<\/strong>\u2019 contiene i pi\u00f9 noti brani del vasto repertorio di\u00a0Suzanne Vega\u00a0<\/strong>riproposti in veste live, da \u2018Luka\u2019 a \u2018Tom\u2019s Diner\u2019 e tracce precedentemente scartate tra cui \u2018Frank and Ava\u2019 e \u2018Ludlow Street\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sul palco insieme a Suzanne Vega, i collaboratori di lunga data Gerry Leonard alla chitarra, Jeff Allen al basso e Jamie Edwards alle tastiere. Il disco \u00e8 stato prodotto da Gerry Leonard, mixato da Kevin Killen e masterizzato da Bob Ludwig.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is always a pleasure to play at the Caf\u00e9 Carlyle in New York City, where this album was recorded. It is a small exclusive club that has hosted legends from Eartha Kitt to Judy Collins, and is also known to be the place where Jackie Kennedy met Audrey Hepburn. I love it for its bohemian old-world glamour! I decided it would be fun to perform a New York-themed show there. I included songs that were inspired by New York City or for which New York provided the backdrop, and also one by my late, great friend, Lou Reed, – \u201cWalk on the Wild Side\u201d – a song I rarely heard him sing himself.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0afferma Suzanne Vega.<\/p>\n
