I\u00a0Garbage<\/strong> annunciano il loro settimo album in studio No Gods No Masters<\/em><\/strong>, in uscita l\u201911 giugno\u00a0<\/strong>su\u00a0Stunvolume\/Infectious Music<\/strong>. La band condivide anche il singolo \u201cThe Men Who Rule The World<\/strong>\u201d, il primo estratto dal nuovo lavoro. Il video \u00e8 stato diretto dal regista, animatore e pittore cileno Javi.MiAmor, guardalo\u00a0qui<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Men Who Rule The World<\/strong>\u201d \u00e8 un\u2019accusa e una chiamata alle armi, un brano potentissimo che ben rappresenta la ferocia del nuovo album della band. Una critica all\u2019ascesa del capitalismo, al razzismo, al sessismo e alla misoginia che ci circondano ogni giorno, un brano di protesta e una chiara dichiarazione di intenti di una band che crede ancora nel potere del dissenso.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuesto \u00e8 il nostro settimo album, e il suo contenuto \u00e8 stato altamente influenzato dalla numerologia: le sette virt\u00f9, i sette dolori e i sette peccati capitali<\/em>\u201d, svela la frontwoman dei Garbage Shirley sul nuovo album della band\u00a0No Gods No Masters<\/em><\/strong>, le cui tematiche toccano capitalismo e lusso ma anche perdita e sofferenza. \u201c\u00c8 il nostro tentativo di trovare un senso al mondo caotico in cui viviamo. \u00c8 l\u2019album che sentivamo di dover incidere in questo momento<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Prodotto dai Garbage e dal collaboratore di lunga data Billy Brush,\u00a0No Gods No Masters<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 nato nell\u2019estate del 2018 nel deserto a Palm Springs. La band si era riunita in una casa che apparteneva ad alcuni parenti di Steve Marker e da l\u00ec, in due settimane, aveva iniziato a dare una prima struttura all\u2019album, tra jam session e sperimentazioni. Poi i quattro avevano preso le demo e avevano iniziato a lavorarci singolarmente, prima di ritornare a Los Angeles per chiudere insieme il nuovo disco.<\/p>\n

I Garbage pubblicheranno anche una versione deluxe su CD e in digitale di\u00a0No Gods No Masters<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0che include delle cover di brani classici, tra cui \u201cStarman\u201d di David Bowie e \u201cBecause The Night\u201d, scritto da Patti Smith e Bruce Springsteen. Nella loro versione di \u201cBecause The Night\u201d, ai Garbage si unisce anche la band punk rock americana Screaming Females.<\/p>\n

La versione deluxe contiene inoltre alcuni brani rari dei Garbage come \u201cNo Horses\u201d, \u201cOn Fire\u201d, \u201cTime Will Destroy Everything\u201d, \u201cGirls Talk\u201d, \u201cThe Chemicals\u201d e \u201cDestroying Angels\u201d, gli ultimi di quali vedono rispettivamente la partecipazione di Brody Dalle, Brian Aubert e John Doe ed Exene Cervenka.<\/p>\n

Il vinile standard sar\u00e0 verde neon, ma saranno disponibili anche il vinile bianco in edizione limitata sullo store della band e su HMV e quello rosa in edizione limitata in occasione del Record Store Day di quest\u2019anno, in uscita il 12 giugno. La band sar\u00e0 in tour in UK con i Blondie a novembre, trovi tutte le date sotto.<\/p>\n
